Cambodia: ILO-backed Training Initiative Launched to Boost Financial Literacy
A training programme, with the support of the International Labour Organization (ILO), has been launched to strengthen professional capacity across Cambodia’s banking and financial sector and support efforts in promoting financial inclusion, customer protection, and responsible financial services. The “Financial Education for Banking and Financial Institutions” programme was held on Monday at Hotel Cambodiana in Phnom Penh. It was jointly organised by the ILO, the Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC) and the Cambodia Microfinance Association (CMA).
Upon completion of the training programme, trainers from banking and financial institutions will continue to disseminate and train at their institutions and communities to help Cambodian citizens gain more knowledge and skills in personal financial management, especially in making informed financial decisions and effectively using financial services in the context of the growing digital economy.
