Applications Open for Financial Literacy Sprint
Financial literacy shapes everything from an individual’s ability to make informed financial decisions to their contribution to sustained economic growth. Yet too many people remain excluded. According to the Global Findex 2025, between 33-59% of unbanked adults across regions would need help using an account.
Around the world, innovators are developing technology-enabled solutions to address this gap, from tools that help people manage day-to-day financial decisions to platforms that support small businesses in building financial resilience. The ideas are there — the challenge is scaling them.
Sponsored by the U.S. G20 Presidency, CGAP has launched a Financial Literacy Solutions Sprint to identify the most promising technology-enabled financial literacy solutions and connect them with the partnerships and pathways needed to reach millions of people.
The Financial Literacy Solutions Sprint will identify and accelerate innovative, technology-enabled solutions that improve how individuals and small businesses make financial decisions in practice. Teams shortlisted as "Sprint Finalists" through the initial application process will participate in a structured innovation Sprint designed to refine their solutions, strengthen their value proposition, and define clear pathways to scale—particularly through partnerships with financial institutions, platforms, and delivery systems.
